This is not just a senior zoologist role. It’s a leadership position for someone who cares as much about how people work together as they do about good science.
The role:
- Lead and support a small zoology team
- Provide calm, emotionally intelligent people leadership
- Oversee technical delivery and review fauna reports
- Manage workloads, resourcing, and project priorities
- Manage projects end-to-end and maintain quality standards
- Help refine systems and ways of working in a growing consultancy
About you:
- Around 10+ years’ experience in ecology consulting in WA (fauna experience ideal)
- Around 5+ years’ experience leading and managing people
- High EQ, steady leadership style, and genuine care for your team
- Strong technical judgement without needing to be the loudest voice in the room
- Comfortable working in a small business that is still evolving its systems
