We are currently working with a well-regarded, multidisciplinary consultancy who are in the process of building and expanding an Environmental Approvals team in WA. 

This is a rare opportunity to help build a high-performing team from the ground up, backed by an existing backlog of approvals work and a strong platform for growth in mining, infrastructure, renewables, water and transport.

About the Role

You’ll lead and deliver environmental approvals projects across a range of sectors, while also helping to grow the team, win work, and mentor future leaders. The role has been scoped as a strategic hire, with flexibility to focus more on delivery, leadership or business development depending on your strengths.

This is a Perth-based role, with hybrid flexibility, and strong support from other local experts and a wider national team

About You
 
  • Degree in Environmental Science, Planning or similar
  • Around 10 – 30 + years’ experience in environmental consulting
  • Deep knowledge of WA and Commonwealth approvals (EP Act – Parts IV/V, EPBC Act)
  • Strong technical background with ability to deliver complex EIA projects
  • Track record of winning work or growing client relationships
  • Consulting background strongly preferred
  • Comfortable mentoring staff or shaping team culture
  • Strategic mindset with commercial acumen
  • Either Associate, Principal or Technical Director level
