We are currently working with a respected, employee-owned consultancy delivering large-scale environmental approvals projects across renewables, transport, and land use planning.
With a strong team already in place and a key role on a major WA infrastructure project, they’re looking for a Principal Environmental Consultant to lead project delivery and provide high-level advice on complex EIA matters.
This is a great role for someone looking for more autonomy, influence, and growth—especially if you’re feeling boxed in by a larger or slower-moving organisation.
About the Role
You’ll join a growing Environmental Planning and Management team and help deliver some of the most significant infrastructure and planning projects in WA.
You'll work on approvals documentation (EP Act, EPBC Act), coordinate technical assessments, and partner with clients and regulators to progress major EIA projects. The role offers variety, challenge, and the chance to influence policy and outcomes.
About You
- 15+ years’ experience in environmental consulting or similar
- Tertiary qualifications in science, engineering, or environmental management
- Deep knowledge of State and Commonwealth EIA processes
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable managing clients, stakeholders, and sub-consultants
- High emotional intelligence and a solutions-focused mindset
- Business development ability or strong technical reputation in the industry
- Passionate about quality work, the environment, and doing the right thing
What’s in it for You?
- Lead role on major infrastructure and planning projects
- Flexible work arrangements, including regional office options
- Career progression with a pathway to business ownership
- Active social calendar and people-first culture
- Additional annual leave and paid parental leave
- Workplace giving and volunteering programs
- Professional and technical development support
- Retention incentives and competitive remuneration package
