My client is a national multi-disciplinary consultancy who work across environmental services, waste management, engineering, asset management, spatial intelligence and noise management - a broad and genuinely interesting mix of work.
They have a solid reputation in WA and a team culture that, by all accounts, actually lives up to the marketing. Now they're looking for an experienced Senior Environmental Consultant to join the Perth office, with a focus on contaminated sites.
The role
You'll be working across complex contaminated sites investigations, assessments and remediation projects. This is a hands-on technical role - you'll be in the field and at your desk writing reports, managing projects and dealing directly with clients and government stakeholders. There's genuine scope to grow here, both in terms of the work and your career.
What they're looking for
This is a senior position, so they need someone who can hit the ground running. Specifically, you'll need:
- Solid experience as an Environmental Consultant, with a strong contaminated sites background
- Demonstrated field and reporting experience
- Experience in contaminated sites, hydrogeological, acid sulfate soils and/or geotechnical investigations
- Strong understanding of source/pathway/receptor modelling and contemporary remedial techniques
- Good working knowledge of the legal framework around contaminated sites in WA
- The ability to develop well-scoped work that accounts for uncertainty and risk
- Experience presenting at industry forums
- Strong project management and client relationship skills
- Permanent Australian residency
