This role suits a hands-on Senior or Principal Engineer who enjoys owning scope, schedule and budget, coordinating multi-disciplinary inputs, and mentoring others while still contributing technically where it counts.
What you’ll be doing
- Own projects from concept through to execution: scope, scheduling, cost control, risk and reporting.
- Lead landform closure design packages and manage design reviews, QA/QC and HSEQ requirements.
- Prepare clear design reports, specifications, scopes of work and bills of quantities.
- Coordinate internal specialists and external partners; chair progress meetings and drive actions.
- Engage confidently with clients, regulators and contractors; manage change and commercial issues.
- Plan and oversee field tasks and occasional short site visits across WA to support delivery.
About you
- Degree in Civil, Environmental or Mining Engineering (or similar).
- ~7–15+ years’ relevant experience, ideally in consulting and mine closure/rehabilitation.
- Proficient with earthworks design tools (12d, Civil 3D, Deswik or similar).
- Proven project management capability across multi-site/bulk earthworks projects.
- Strong technical writing, stakeholder communication and contractor management.
- Positive, collaborative mindset with a desire to mentor junior engineers.
