Senior Database Geologist

My client, an ASX-listed exploration and development company, is looking for an experienced Senior Database Geologist to join their Perth team.

This is a key technical role responsible for managing, validating, and interpreting geological data to support the growth of their exploration projects.


About the Role
 

• You’ll play a central role in building and maintaining geological databases, ensuring QAQC processes, and bringing together complex data sets into 3D geological models that directly support resource development.
• Working in a small, agile team, you’ll enjoy real ownership of your work and exposure across a broad range of commodities and projects.

 
Key Responsibilities
 

• Manage and migrate geological databases (Datashed, Geoscience Analyst or similar)
• Oversee QAQC processes, ensuring high-quality sampling and data collection
• Build and interrogate 3D geological models to define drill targets and support resource development
• Integrate geological, geochemical, and geophysical data into cohesive interpretations
• Work with exploration teams to advance projects from early exploration through to resource definition

About You
 

• A degree in Geology (postgraduate qualifications an advantage)
• 7-10 years’ experience in mineral exploration (gold, copper, base metals useful but not essential)
• Strong background in resource data management and 3D modelling
• Software skills across Datashed, QGIS, Geoscience Analyst/Micromine, IO Gas
• Ability to work through large historical datasets and integrate them into modern workflows
• Adaptability, initiative, and strong communication skills
