Field-based botanical work across WA, from Perth metro through to remote mining projects, with one of the biggest environment teams in Perth behind you.
My client is a global consultancy with clients across state and federal government, mining, oil and gas, utilities and Defence. The team has low turnover and a genuinely good culture, which in this market says more than any list of perks.
The role
- Baseline surveys, monitoring programmes and targeted flora and weed assessments across a range of WA bioregions
- Planning, delivering and analysing surveys, either on your own or with the wider ecology team
- Impact assessment and designing mitigation strategies
- Leading ecological projects and supporting multi-disciplinary tenders and deliverables
- Helping manage technical quality and delivery across the project portfolio
What you'll need
- Degree in environmental science, ecology, botany or similar
- 5+ years conducting and leading botanical surveys in WA - mining, remote and Perth metro
- Strong technical report writing
- Good working knowledge of state and Commonwealth environmental legislation (EPA technical guidance, BC Act)
- GIS and digital data capture (ArcGIS, Field Maps or similar)
- WA driver's licence and happy to be out on both short and extended field programmes
