Currently, we are partnering with a reputable and well-established top-tier consulting company that is seeking a driven and ambitious Principal Environmental Consultant to join their team in Perth.
This opportunity is ideal for an individual who possesses technical expertise, project management skills, and a passion for working with diverse clients.
The ‘Ideal’ candidate will have:
- A Tertiary qualification in Environmental Science / Engineering or equivalent
- Around 15 - 20 + years relevant experience
- Experience working on contaminated land projects in Australia
- Experience working in a consultancy environment in WA
- Good project management, team management, report writing, and client liaison skills
- The ability and desire to do business development, bring in work and win new clients
- Good communication skills and the ability to get on well with a variety people at different levels
- A friendly, professional and enthusiastic attitude
Your Responsibilities:
- Manage contaminated land and remediation projects, oversees ubcontractors, ensure quality control, and strong client communication.
- Provide technical direction training and mentoring to more junior members of the team, fostering a culture of quality, innovation, and client focus.
- Plan and coordinate field activities such as drilling supervision, sampling, and groundwater assessments.
- Provide excellent technical report writing and review skills, meeting client expectations and needs.
- Engage in business development initiatives to contribute to the strategic growth of the company.
