Principal Consultant - Contaminated Land

Lead complex contaminated land work and help shape a growing team.

This senior role suits an experienced consultant who enjoys owning projects end to end, mentoring others and building trusted client relationships. You will lead contaminated land assessments and remediation, with scope to influence systems, technical standards and delivery.

About the Role

Lead Phase 1 and Phase 2 investigations, remediation and validation; plan scopes, budgets and programs across multiple, concurrent projects; oversee data management, verification and QA/QC on deliverables; prepare clear technical reports and sign off complex reporting; provide advice on WA contaminated sites regulatory framework and ASC NEPM; manage subcontractors and field programs (including asbestos in soils and PFAS where relevant); collaborate with in-house specialists to deliver integrated outcomes; mentor and develop consultants; and contribute to proposals, bids and client relationship growth.

About You
 

• Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering or related
• Around 8 - 15+ years in contaminated land consulting, including WA experience
• Strong technical grounding in investigation, remediation and risk assessment
• Working knowledge of ASC NEPM and WA approvals pathways
• Excellent written communication and technical reporting
• Comfortable managing competing deadlines, budgets and stakeholders
• Positive, collaborative approach and willingness to coach others
