We are currently partnering with one of Perth’s leading Multi-disciplinary consultancies who provide a range of environmental services to clients across sectors including Mining and Resources, Infrastructure and Land Development.
They are well established in Western Australia, have won awards for their work and have a strong pipeline of repeat business gained from consistently delivering high quality results for their clients.
They are currently looking to appoint an environmental professional to lead the ecological section of the company, work with other disciplines and help to grow the business moving forward.
The key purpose of this role is to manage, mentor and grow a high performing team of botanists and zoologist as well as manage key client relationships and to ensure work output delivered is of a high standard.
This is an important role for the company and will involve a mixture of technical work, Client management, mentoring and managing staff as well as an involvement in the commercial side of the business and its performance.
The ‘Ideal’ candidate will have:
- A Tertiary degree in Environmental Science, Botany, Ecology or Zoology
- Around 10 – 20 + years’ experience including previous consultancy experience
- Previous relevant technical experience in an ecological discipline
- Strong report writing / reviewing and project management skills
- Local experience, contacts, and networks in WA
- The ability to successfully manage client relationships
- The desire and ability to help with managing, guiding, fostering and mentoring staff – the ability to lead with empathy and encouragement.
- Good interpersonal skills including a positive, and adaptable attitude and the ability to fit in well with a small, friendly team of professionals.
