Geologist

Gather Recruitment specialises in supporting Geology professionals across Australia’s mining and exploration industry. We work with a wide range of organisations from junior explorers and specialist contractors to large operators and global resources firms.

We’re currently working with a well-backed exploration company kicking off a significant new gold project in Central Victoria. With rigs turning and more planned, they’re looking for a Geologist and a Field Assistant to join the core team already on the ground.

This is early-stage exploration work - real geology, real rocks and the chance to be a part of a new discovery 

Geologist

• BSc Geology
• At least 3 + years’ experience in exploration (more senior candidates welcome to apply) 
• Diamond core logging experience
• Gold experience regarded
• Micromine and structural mapping experience regarded
• Hands-on, team-focused 
• Physically fit and able to pass medical / D&A screening  
• Valid Australian work rights  

Field Assistant

• Previous experience in mining exploration
• Comfortable lifting, moving, cutting, and processing Diamond core
• Manual driver’s licence
• Ideally locally based in VIC
• Reliable, practical, and team-focused 
• Physically fit and able to pass medical / D&A screening  
• Valid Australian work rights
