We are working with a growing exploration company that is looking to appoint a Project Manager to support its technical team and help keep a key project moving forward.

This role has been created to take workload off senior teams member and bring stronger day-to-day coordination, structure and follow-through across the project. It will suit someone who is organised, assertive and practical - someone who can keep timelines on track, follow up actions and hold people accountable rather than just sit back and report on progress.

An exploration geologybackground is preferred, as the role will work closely with the technical team and needs someone who can understand the nature of the work, the moving parts and the pressure points across an exploration project.

About the Role
 

• Manage project timelines, milestones and deliverables
• Use Microsoft Project and Gantt charts to track progress and maintain visibility across the project
• Coordinate actions across internal team members and external parties
• Keep workstreams moving and make sure deadlines do not drift
• Follow up outstanding actions and hold people accountable for delivery
• Support planning, scheduling and prioritisation across a range of project activities
• Work closely with technical staff to understand dependencies, risks and timing issues
• Help free up senior technical leadership from day-to-day project management tasks

About You
 

• Previous project management or project coordination experience within mining, geology or exploration
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Project and Gantt chart management
• Confident tracking deadlines, milestones and competing priorities
• Able to push things along, follow things through and keep people focused on deliverables
• Strong organisational skills and a practical, no-nonsense approach
• Geology or earth science background preferred
• Available to commence at short notice or ASAP
