I’m currently assisting a gold exploration company with a short-term contract opportunity for an RC Rig Geologist to cover a drilling programme near Southern Cross in Western Australia.
This is a straightforward contract supporting a drilling programm e and would suit someone with around 2 – 3 + years’ experience who has previously worked on RC drilling programmes.
Programme Details
- Gold exploration drilling programme
- Approximately 2 - 3 weeks of drilling
- Start date around Wednesday 25 March (flexible by a few days)
- Accommodation at Hotel (air-conditioned rooms)
Responsibilities
- Managing RC drilling operations on site
- Chip logging and sampling
- Ensuring QA/QC procedures are followed
- Supervising a field assistant
- Working closely with the exploration team
Requirements
- Around 2 – 3 + years experience in exploration geology
- Previous RC drilling experience
- Gold exploration experience preferred
- Manual driver’s licence
- Current First Aid certificate
- Ability to work safely and independently on site
Rate - Around $700/day + Super
