Database Geologist

Own the data that drives discovery.

This role suits a senior geologist who enjoys getting legacy datasets into shape, building robust 3D models, and turning messy data into clear decisions. You will take charge of resource data management, QA/QC, and modernising data flows — then translate it all into models and interpretations that guide drilling and resource development.

About the Role

You will lead the resource database function and be the go-to for 3D modelling and data integrity. Day to day you will clean and migrate historic datasets, set QA/QC standards, maintain the exploration database, and build/update models to support targeting and resource work. You will partner with exploration geologists to integrate geological, geochemical and geophysical data, and present findings clearly to decision-makers.

About You
 

• 7–10+ years in exploration/resource geology, with strong database and modelling focus
• Skilled in 3D modelling (Geoscience Analyst, Micromine)
• Resource data management tools (DataShed, QGIS, IO Gas)
• Hands-on QA/QC across historic and current data
• Confident integrating geological, geochemical and geophysical datasets
• Comfortable working through legacy data and lifting it into modern models
• Clear communicator who collaborates well with field and technical teams
