Here’s a part-time role that suits someone who likes running the books properly and being trusted to get on with things. You’ll join a respected environmental consultancy, looking after all day-to-day accounts, payroll, and general financial administration. It’s a steady, hands-on position where you’ll have control of the workflow and the backing of a friendly, down-to-earth team.
The hours are flexible roughly 24 per week and can be shaped around school hours or other commitments.
What you’ll be doing
- Run end-to-end payroll for 25–30 staff including super and HR documentation
- Prepare and lodge BAS, PAYG and payroll tax returns
- Issue monthly client invoices based on consultant timesheets
- Daily bookkeeping including AP, AR, data entry and reconciliation
- Maintain accurate financial records using industry-standard accounting software
- Prepare essential financial reports and ensure compliance obligations are met
- Provide basic support and advice to consultants when needed

- Good understanding of accounts processes and financial controls
- Minimum three years’ experience in bookkeeping or commercial accounting
- Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
- Strong time management skills and ability to prioritise
- High level of organisation and attention to detail
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills
- Clear and confident communicator
